Projections made by State of Delaware’s Department of Labor shows increases in almost every healthcare occupation, and no decreases, through 2013. The state currently has more than 26,000 working the healthcare industry earning an average salary of $78,760, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics.
For those more than 26,000 workers, there are nearly 9,000 healthcare facilities providing employment, according to Manta. The highest earning professions in Delaware’s healthcare industry are obstetricians and gynecologists at $235,160, followed by anesthesiologists at $226,040, according to the BLS report. Students pursuing their master’s degree in healthcare may consider Delaware as a career move with its positive healthcare trends.
